A Stealth Work Laptop for Professionals!!
This review has been a long-overdue. Wanted to test the machine thoroughly before writing about it. It's a costly laptop and when one is ready to spend such an amount on a laptop, an obvious tempting alternative is the Mac Book pro. Back then I was seriously contemplating for the Apple machine, 16 GB, M1 chip Mac Book pro which was available at the stores with the similar pricing. This review sums up why I went with this ASUS laptop and, it's pros and cons... but before delving into that, would like to write few words about the seller TBL Online. I believe, TBL Online is the most ethical and the professional seller on the Flipkart. The first order I placed, was delivered to me within 2 days but it was a faulty unit. Had some issues with the keyboard driver and the system was not recognizing every key input. On the same night placed the return request and surprisingly within 30 minutes they accepted the return and shipped the same replacement laptop which got delivered to me again within next 2 days. Replacement unit worked just fine and left me with quite a pleasant experience about the seller. With such a seller in hand, ASUS is definitely going to leave a lasting impression among it's customers. Absolutely amazing experience!! My trust on ASUS brand comes from my first ASUS laptop (Model - K53SV, Intel i7 2nd gen, 8 GB RAM), purchased 10 years ago and running as good as new till date without any repair (though replaced the stock hard disk with the SSD few years back). Everything works just fine, no issues till date. Now about the ASUS ROG Flow X13. Since the first unit was the faulty one, I was skeptical to say anything early before using it thoroughly. I have been using it since last 6 months and it has been absolute breeze. Here are the pros: Ryzen 9 5900HS + 32 GB RAM: Back then very few laptops had such a powerful combo on offer. Compared the real world performance with the M1 chip and other 11th gen Intel options, and it offered far better value for money. It's just more than enough for our daily needs which includes graphics intensive designing work and hardcore gaming. Pair it with the external GPU (sold separately) and it's just the future proof! Corning Gorilla glass coated 4K Touch Screen with 338 ppi: It's the most gorgeous IPS screen in the market. Pantone validated 4K screen offers amazing life like colors and HDR is awesome. I believed AMOLED screen would have been better but this one is no less in terms of viewing experience and coated with the gorilla glass it's scratchproof as well. With the pixel density of 338 ppi, picture quality is super crisp, just like some high end smartphone. Compact and the gorgeous form factor: Ribbed black magnesium alloy casing with compact form factor makes it one of the most handsome looking slim laptop in the market. Weighing just 1.3 KG, it is hard to believe the power it packs inside. Other highlights are the super smooth backlit keyboard, responsive track pad, touch screen with tablet mode, and refined sound quality. Cons: Though pros far outweigh the cons, there are still few ones. Battery life: Expected it to last for at least 7-8 hours on a full charge but didn't get more than 4-5 hours with the normal usage. Though I rarely use the touch pen, it could have been more responsive (as compared to the Samsung tab S-pen). In a nutshell, I am highly satisfied with my purchase and shopping experience has been exceptionally good with TBL Online. Keep up the good work!!
