User Reviews
One of the most versatile cameras ever.
After owning a Canon SX30 IS, I bought the EOS 650D/t4i. And one of the main things that I considered while buying this was that this camera is FUTURE PROOF. - The resolution is very standard. Not too high (like the recent Nikons) that'll cause image softening and low DLA, but still high enough for crisp A2 prints. - The hybrid focus is a wonder. The TTL Phase detection along with contrast detection makes it a pleasure to shoot in Live View. And touch-to-focus is very convenient. - The touch screen wasn't my first priority while buying, but now I find it very convenient. With all latest consumer electronics using touch, the CAPACITIVE TOUCH makes it a lot more convenient to use. Navigation through menus, changing settings, and shooting in Lv is fast and easy. - Keys and touch can be used in combination. All the conventional keys are still there and fully functional. The layout is pretty easy. The On/Off lever comes with a third state...the movie mode. - DIGIC 5! has better noise reduction. But the Multishot Noise Reduction works in JPEG only. Ghosting is barely visible. In camera HDR does needs steady hands though. - UPDATED In camera distortion correction and peripheral illumination and chromatic aberration correction. - NEW continuous AF in movies. More focusing methods in Lv. Extremely fast focusing with all cross type AF points, faster than 5D MkII. - after comparing the higher end EOS 60D with this one, the image quality is the SAME. Better than Nikon D5200 in terms of base ISO performance, operation speed, build quality, and focusing speed. For better information, I suggest you refer to DigitalRev reviews of both the products on Youtube. The reviews are very honest. I've used this camera for 2 months now. The shots I took are being used in a theme in Windows Personalization Gallery named Garden Glimpses. Yes, the camera is that good. I also shot an entire wedding using the 50mm f/1.8 lens without flash and the low light performance is great, though not the best. If you have used an advanced camera before, then go for it! But, if you are a novice, it'll take a while to take the camera up to it's full potential.

Great value for money
I have been using this model from past 2 years and I'm very much satisified with its features. this is the perfect choice for a DSLR at enrty level. It has lot of useful options. But be careful, you can make use of this camera very well by using appropriate lense. Generally we get it with 18-55 lens by default. If you have a choice, then dont go for the default one. do some R&D on lenses and the type of photography you prefer the most and then buy that lense(s) seperately. Also, for an SLR the main over head is the maintenance cost. any exposure to moisture or dew may damage the mother board very easily. it'll generally cost you around 15k. PROS : Flexibilities & Feature Good ergonomic design Tiltable screen Cons: shutter speed (some times)
