Xiaomi Announces Mi 10 Youth alongside MIUI 12 in China

Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth 5G is now official. Yes, Xiaomi took the wraps off third phone of Mi 10 series in China. Alongside the phone, Xioami also showcased its MIUI 12 features and announced its rollout plans. The mid-range Xiaomi 5G phone key highlights include a quad rear camera setup with 50x digital zoom and MIUI 12 software.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Features

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth is backed by Snapdragon 765 chipset which Qualcomm’s first mobile platform with integrated 5G modem. The phone houses a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ native resolution.

Xiaomi claims that its smartphone has a large sound cavity speaker for better audio. It also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and supports Bluetooth as well as NFC.

In terms of optics, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition includes with a 16-megapixel selfie camera placed in a ‘u’ shape notch.

The Mi 10 Youth Edition rear cameras include a 48-megapixel main camera coupled with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The telephoto lens offers support for 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom.

The Dual SIM 5G phone from Xiaomi packs a 4,160mAh battery with a USB Type-C port for charging. The company is offering the Mi 10 Youth in five colour options including black, blue, orange, green and pink-white gradient.

Xioami Mi 10 Youth 5G Price

Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth 5G starting price in China is set at CNY 2,099. This price is for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant.

Its Mi 10 Youth 5G 6GB+128GB variant is retail price is set at CNY 2,299. The 8GB RAM variants with 128GB and 256GB to retail at CNY 2,499 and CNY 2,799 respectively.

MIUI 12

MIUI 12 has new features and aesthetics addition. The company claims that its new MIUI 12 design is based on Motion Design. The new UI highlights include real-time colors, real-time blur, smooth transitions and new health features like snoring and dream recording.

The MiUI 12 update will be rolled out to Xiaomi, Redmi phones in three phases. In the first phase, Xiaomi premium devices are scheduled to receive the MIUI 12 OTA update. The first phase updates will be rolled out in June.
