Xiaomi Smart Band 8 launching on April 18 can be worn as a necklace: Pad 6 series & Xiaomi 13 Ultra also confirmed

Xiaomi recently launched Smart Home and AIoT products and Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone in India recently. Now, the brand has confirmed a launch event taking place on April 18 in China wherein it will showcase Xiaomi Smart Band 8, Xiaomi 13 Ultra, and Xiaomi Pad 6 series. While Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be one more addition to the premium flagship series of the brand, Smart Band 8 will come with a redesign that will allow it to be used as a necklace as well. Xiaomi Smart Band 8

The Xiaomi Smart Band 8 comes with a pill-shaped 1.62-inch AMOLED display that looks similar to its predecessor. The strap mechanism of the Band 8 has been upgraded to give a more comfortable fit. A teaser poster has unveiled the color options that will be available. For the wide strap variant, it will come in black and white, green and yellow. The bracelet strap model will come in Black and Rose Gold colorways.

This time, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 comes with a necklace accessory that will allow the users to wear the Band as a necklace. The set of new bracelets and straps gives the option to wear the band in the user’s preferred way.

The Smart Band 8 is expected to include fundamental activity-tracking functions like heart rate monitoring, bloody oxygen measurement, sleep and stress tracking, and more. NFC and voice assistant features will also be included. According to the NRRA Korea certification, Xiaomi Smart Band 8 will come with Bluetooth 5.1, and a built-in DC 3.87V polymer lithium-ion battery. Just like its predecessor, Band 8 will include over 100 watch faces and always-on-display features. The band will weigh somewhere around 14 grams and offer at least a 180mAh battery.

Xiaomi Pad 6 & Pad 6 Pro

Xiaomi has also confirmed the launch of the Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro tablets. The teasers posted by the brand show the tablet in 3 colorways and with a large screen, keyboard dock, and a stylus.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro is expected to sport an 11-inch AMOLED panel with a 2.8K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It comes with a 50MP dual camera setup and LED flash on the back. The design of the camera module is similar to the Xiaomi 13 series of smartphones. Pad 6 Pro will be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with 67W fast charging support. The renders indicate that the Pad 6 Pro will come with quad speakers, USB Type-C charging, USB 3.0 data transfer, and a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The Vanilla Xiaomi Pad 6 is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 870 chipset and pack an 8840mAh battery with 33W fast charging. It is likely to sport an 11-inch LCD panel with a 2.8K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 series is said to come with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. Both the Pads will run MIUI 14 based on Android 13. The price will be announced during the launch.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra

Xiaomi 13 Ultra is also launching on April 18. The first look of the flagship smartphone was first shared exclusively by Smartprix (check it out here) and it showcased the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in a white color variant.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a round camera setup with 4 sensors inside it. White Ceramic and Black Leather colorways were already tipped about earlier and the third color expected is Olive Green.

In terms of specs, Xiaomi 13 Ultra is said to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. It is expected to pack a 4900mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.

The flagship device might flaunt a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi 13 Ultra is expected to feature four 50MP sensors at the back and a 32MP camera at the front. The smartphone is rumored to arrive in 3 storage models- 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 16GB/512GB starting at Rs.75,000.

Xiaomi Sound Move

Xiaomi will also be launching a portable Bluetooth speaker, namely the Xiaomi Sound Move at the event. The speaker is claimed to deliver the best sound quality in the segment and has a premium-looking design.
