Xiaomi Redmi Pro with Dual Primary Cameras And Deca-Core chipset Launched

One of the largest Chinese smartphone makers, Xiaomi, has presented the much awaited Redmi Pro ( as reported earlier). The new Redmi flagship comes in Gold, Dark Gray, and Silver colors and a starting price of RNB 1499 which translated to approx 15,112 in Indian rupee.

Taking a leaf out of LG and Huawei’s book, Xiaomi for the first time introduced dual primary camera module in the Redmi Pro. The additional 5MP camera on the rear acts as a depth sensor and is used to capture images with shallow depth of field (Bokeh effect).

MediaTek’s new set of Helio Chipsets employs IMagiQ ISP, which specializes in handling dual rear cameras.The ISP is capable of real-time depth mapping as well (during previews). We expect to see many phones integrating dual rear cameras in the near future.

Following standard 2016 norms, the Xioami Redmi Pro exterior flaunts a brushed aluminum body and CNC chamfered edges. The new Redmi flagship features a ceramic home button embedded with a fingerprint sensor.

On the specification front, the Redmi Pro is backed by MediaTek’s HelioX 25 deca-core ticking at 2.5GHz. The chipset is backed by a Mali –T880 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage. There will also be an Helio X20variant with a comparatively lower price tag. On the front, it bears a 5.5-inch OLED display which as per company claims offer 100 percent NTSC color gamut.
