Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Is Coming Soon: What to Expect From the Redmi Note 4 Successor?

Most of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 tentative details are out as the company preps up for the official unveiling. After Redmi 5A announcement, the Redmi Note 5 launch is on the cards. The successor of popular Redmi Note 4 (review) has been making rounds and latest confirmation of its existence came from Chinese certification agency TENNA.

The Redmi Note 5 was spotted on TENAA revealing its specifications and features which are on the expected lines. According to TENNA, the Note 5 features an 18:9 aspect ratio screen with extremely narrow bezels.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Specifications

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 display details posted on TENAA suggest that bezel-less display has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Rumors suggest that that the display will be diagonally 6-inches in size held by a metal body. Like Redmi Note 4 it is likely to feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Redmi Note 5 Processor particulars are not confirmed but if latest report it anything to go by it could sport Snapdragon 636 chipset which as per Qualcomm is 40 percent more efficient than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 630SoC.The Snapdragon 636 has eight Kryo 260 cores, all of them clocked at 1.8 GHz.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 RAM and storage could come in three options. While the base variant could be available with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, there could be a 4GB RAM with 32GB storage and one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage options on offer.

The Redmi Note 5 Camera might not have two sensors. After the Initial buzz of dual camera setup, latest leaks suggest that the Redmi Note 5 could use a single rear camera.

As of now, Redmi Note 5 is rumored to employ a 16-megapixel primary rear shooter and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Rumors also suggest that the Redmi Note 5 battery could be smaller than Redmi Note 4. It is likely to feature a 3000mAh battery

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Price

Nothing is official yet. Still, speculations suggest that the Redmi Note 5 price for base model could be around $175 (approx Rs 12,000). The Redmi Note 5 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage could be priced at $220 (approx Rs 14,000).
