Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi Note 13 series in India on January 4 which is a week from today. The lineup comprises Redmi Note 13, Note 13 Pro, and Note 13 Pro Plus. Turns out the trio will welcome three years of major Android OS upgrades once they arrive officially in India and the global market.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Series & Android Upgrades

This information comes from tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore on X according to whom, the entire Redmi Note 13 series will arrive with Android 13-powered MIUI 14. This is applicable for both Indian and Global ROMs. Adding to it, the Chinese manufacturer will offer three years of Android updates covering the device till Android 16 in 2026.

On top of that, the devices are also in line to get 4 years of security updates that should keep the phones healthy till 2028 at the earliest.

The trio – Redmi Note 13 series, made it to China with Android 13 OS, however, it isn’t clear if the aforementioned three years of Android updates and four years of security updates apply to the Chinese variants or not. As of now, the Chinese models are running on MIUI with plans to run on HyperOS from Xiaomi which just released the first & second batch of devices to get their upgrades.

Coming to the Indian and Global ROMs, the HyperOS update seems to be a far-stretch which means we won’t get it in a while.
