Xiaomi MIUI 9 Rollout Timeline: Phones Listed to Receive MIUI 9 Update In India

Xiaomi India launched its first set of Selfie Centric smartphones Redmi Y1 Lite and Redmi Y1 at an event on November 2 where it also introduced its latest MIUI 9 software. What’s really impressive is that Xiaomi will be pushing the new software to devices as old as 5 years.

Apart from adding subtle improvements and features, the prime focus in MIUI 9 has been to refine smoothness and speed. According to the company, it has managed to achieve lighting fast speed comparable to phones running stock android using methods like cache management, dynamic resource allocation and introduced a new file system alongside other changes.

Xioami is has made few incremental improvement and added few new features such as image search, smart assistant, smart app launcher, split screen, a revamped notification shade, calendar cards and more MIUI 9 users in India will be able to use an exclusive theme called Limitless.

When I Will Receive MIUI 9 Update?

This is the question most of you will be asking or Googling when your Xiaomi phone will get updated to new MIUI 9. Well, Xiaomi has released the timeline for update MIUI 9 rollout for all those devices which are slated to receive this update. Here’s the list:

Starting November 3: Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 | Xiaomi Mi Max 2 |

Mid-November: Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 | Xiaomi Redmi 4 | Xiaomi Mi Max | Xiaomi Redmi Y1 | Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite |

If you own any of the above-mentioned devices than you will be receiving MIUI 9 update soon. To check all you have to do is go to Updater App on your phone and tap on the check for update button and if the update is available for your phone, you will see an option to manually download and install it.
