Shortly when Xiaomi had overtaken the ride ahead of Samsung if we speak of its business in the country of its origin, China, It has been turning on the heat by releasing many more devices in India. And this headline is borne out of the launch of Xiaomi Redmi 2 and Xiaomi MiPad 7.9, the first ever tablet by Xiaomi to be released in Indian market.

The Mi Pad features include a 7.9-inch IPS display along with an 8MP BSI f2.0 rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. It runs on a 2.2 GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra K1 Cortex-A15 CPU with ULP GeForce Kepler (192 cores) GPU with 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB. It runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS with MIUI and is powered by a 6,700 mAh battery. It is a WiFi only tablet PC and is priced at Rs 12,999.

The tab showed shear excellence when tested in the first hands-on review by tech experts. No signs of flaw or time lag were spotted while switching apps and multitasking. this could be a real benchmark of excellence in the segment. Xiaomi seems to make a long lasting stand in the Indian market and Mi Pad could just be the device to provide the breakthrough.
