Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S with Snapdragon 845 and Xiao Voice Assistant Launched: Price, Specification and Features

Xiaomi’s new flagship phone, the Mi Mix 2S, went official at an event in Shanghai putting all rumors to rest. The Mi Mix 2S is the successor to last year’s ‘bezel-less’ mid-ranged device Mi Mix 2 and its biggest highlight is the chipset. The phone rocks Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 845 Soc under its hood, making it Xaiomi’s first and fourth overall handset to do so. (हिंदी में पढ़े)

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S Features

Just like its predecessor and the renders of the phone from last week, the Mi Mix 2S comes with a full vision display with no bezel/notch on the top and ceramic body on the back. It boasts of a 5.99-inch FHD+ (2160X1440 pixel) display on the front. The phone has a slight amount of bezel at the bottom and that is where you will find the selfie camera.

The Snapdragon 845 SoC on the Mi Mix 2S is backed by up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage space. It also has Xiaomi’s own voice assistant Xiao A1 that work in a similar way as the Apple’s Siri, Samsung’s Bixby and Google Assistant.

For photography, the Mi Mix 2S features a duo of 12MP Sony IMX 363 sensors vertically aligned on the top-right corner of the rear-penal. The front camera on the phone is a 5MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The cameras are backed by Artificial Intelligence to enhance images.

The phone runs on Xiaomi’s custom MIUI 9 employed on top of Android Oreo and houses a 3,400mAh battery. Other features of Mi Mix 2S include a fingerprint sensor, Face ID, IR Blaster, AR Core and QI wireless charging support.

In terms of connectivity, the phone includes a dual-SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, and GPS.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S Price and Availability

The Mi Mix 2S has a starting price of 3299 yuan (roughly to Rs. 34,000) in China. The Price goes all the way up to 3999 yuan (roughly to Rs. 41000). The phone will be available for sale in black and white color variants from April 3 onwards. Xiaomi is expected to bring Mi Mix 2s to India as well, but there is no official confirmation for the same as of now.
