Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S Specifications and Firmware Leaked: Snapdragon 845, Android Oreo Confirmed

Days of Xiaomi Mi MiX 2S living in rumors are about over, thanks to eager eyes of Duraaraa – a Senior Member of XDA Developers, who somehow managed to dig out what is claimed to be Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S firmware.

In a way, this further confirms Mi Mix 2S existence (and more). Previously, numerous leaks and rumors revealed that Xiaomi has code-named Mi Mix 2S as Polaris. The XDA-Developers has now revealed its entire spec-sheet and features.

The Xiaomi’s upcoming bezel-less phone will pack an 18:9 FHD+ display and a Qualcomm latest Snapdragon 845 mobile processor under the hood. The firmware leak confirms its 3,400mAh battery. Xiaomi will be shipping the Mi Mix 2S with Android Oreo-based MIUI 9 out of the box.

The phone is said to bring AI features to Xiaomi camera which will detect scenes and claimed to change the way it takes pictures accordingly.Like most Xiaomi phones, the Mix 2S will support dual SIM cards and IR blaster.

Earlier some reports suggest that the Mi Mix 2 successor will feature a front camera placed above the display. If it turns out to be true it will be a welcome change and especially for selfie lovers. Xiaomi will officially unveil it at the upcoming MWC 2018.
