Xiaomi Mi Body Composition Scale with BIA Technology Launched: Price, Features, and Availability

Xiaomi India expanded its fitness product portfolio with the launch of Mi Body Composition Scale. The smart device not only tells your weight but also provides stats on body characteristics such as the BMI, muscle mass, fat, and more. The company claims to provide accurate body composition statistics with “10 precise data points”.

Xiaomi Mi Body Composition Scale Features

The Mi Body Composition Scale sports an elegant design that shows results, including muscle mass, BMI, visceral fat, bone mass, body score, body fat, weight, basal metabolism, water content, and more, using LED lights. Moreover, the LED lights have a unique light sensor that automatically adjusts brightness for readability in all conditions.

The body scale produces the stats based on a series of complex algorithms and advanced Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA). You can also view the data on your smartphone using the Mi-Fit app, and keep track of your fitness. It is compatible with devices running Android 4.4 and above, and iOS 8.0 and above.

“The base of the Mi Body Composition Scale has a slip-resistant coating, which makes it safe to use even with wet feet,” Xiaomi claims. The scale weighs just 50grams and can only measure weight up to 150kg. The Mi Body Composition Scale needs four AAA batteries to power up.

Xiaomi has priced its Mi Body Composition at Rs. 1,999 and it is available exclusively on the company’s own online store, Mi.com.
