Xiaomi confirms Redmi 10 launch with Helio G88 SoC; Redmi 10 Prime appears online

A day after Xiaomi teased Smarter Living 2022 event, the company has dropped a few details of its upcoming smartphone – the Redmi 10. Xiaomi took to Twitter to reveal some of the key specs of its upcoming smartphone.

Also, Redmi 10 Prime is making headlines in a few leaks and rumors that suggest the phone’s arrival with the standard Redmi 10.

Xiaomi Redmi 10 Features

The Chinese smartphone maker prematurely released a blog post revealing almost the Redmi 10 details. As per the leaked blog post, it will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 chipset clocked at 2.0GHz. Xiaomi is said to feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ DotDisplay with a 90Hz refresh rate. The device will boast a 50MP AI quad-camera setup on the back. The upcoming phone will be a successor to the Redmi 9 debuted back in June 2020. 

The released poster suggests the phone to come in the shades of Blue, Grey, and White. Also, it has dual speakers arranged on the top edge of the phone alongside a 3.5mm headphone jack. A side-mounted fingerprint is also there.

Earlier, the Redmi 10 was spotted on Xiaomi’s German website also revealing its RAM and ROM details. The phone is said to come with 6GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage. The front camera houses an 8MP snapper. It comes with a 5000mAh capacity with 18W fast charging support. It runs on the MIUI 12.5 skin based on Android 11.

If other rumors are to be believed Redmi 10 Prime is also likely to launch alongside the Redmi 10.

Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Rumors

As far as Redmi 10 Prime is concerned, the phone was spotted on the IMEI database. The Redmi 10 Prime was spotted on the database website with model number 21061119BI. While this is the first set of revelations about the 10 Prime, we expect more in the future.
