After setting the Indian smartphone market on fire with Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi now aiming to make inroads in the high-end gaming segment with Black Shark Technology. Together, the two companies are working on a gaming phone which was spotted on AnTuTu. It is worth mentioning here that Xiaomi is one of the major stakeholders in the company. The upcoming gaming smartphone has been spotted at AnTuTu.

As per the AuTuTu, the ‘BlackShark’ gaming smartphone will be nothing less than a beast. The benchmarking site reveals that the upcoming phone will rock Qualcomm’s 2018 flagship Snapdragon 845 chipset. it will boast Adreno 630 GPU and 8GB of RAM which will be a powerful combination. The specs mentioned on Antutu suggest that the phone will feature a full HD+ display with 2160 x 1080 resolution. It remains to see what will be the refresh rate of the display.

One of the biggest let down of the phone could be its 32GB internal storage. Though there could be a 64GB storage model or 128GB internal storage variant as well. It also supports microSD card for storage expansion.

Like most 2018 flagships, It opts for Android 8.0 Oreo to handle things on the software side. This alleged BlackShark gaming phone manages to clock a score of 2,70,680, which is nothing less than impressive.  To put that in perspective, the BlackShark phone Antutu score is better than that of upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9+ (if recent leaks are to be believed).

There are reports that suggest that an ‘aviation-class cooling system’ will be in place but that sounds a little too far-fetched.
