Last year, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi released the Xiaomi 14 series in its native market. Though the company said it would make the phone available globally, it didn’t announce a timeline. Now, Xiaomi India has uploaded a cryptic post on the microblogging platform X (previously known as Twitter), which hints at the launch of Xiaomi 14 in the country.
Here’s What The Teaser Mentions
Xiaomi India recently uploaded a post on X, referring to its partnership with the camera and lens manufacturing company Leica. “Xiaomi has been at the forefront of smartphone innovation, while Leica has built a legacy of excellence in iconic cameras,” reads the caption of the teaser, which contains the mascots of both brands.
Further, the caption says, “Stay tuned for something revolutionary,” which indicates that it could launch a smartphone in collaboration with Leica. Given the flagship series’ impending launch and the partnership’s nature, it is clear that the teaser is referring to the Xiaomi 14 lineup. Hence, there’s a good chance that the company will soon release the regular Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Pro in India.
Xiaomi 14 Expected Launch Date And Price
Although the company didn’t mention a timeline for launching the phones, it could reveal the phones for the global market at the Mobile World Congress 2024, an event starting on February 26, 2024. We already know a lot of details about the upcoming smartphones, including the specifications and expected price. Xiaomi must place the phone well in India to compete with the newly launched OnePlus 12 and Galaxy S24.
Xiaomi 14 Expected Specifications
The Xiaomi 14 should come with a 6.36-inch LTPO OLED screen that supports 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the smartphone could run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the fastest chipset on an Android phone. Regarding memory, the phone should come with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage in India. It will also feature a triple 50MP camera and a 4,610 mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging.
Xiaomi 14 Pro Expected Specifications
The Xiaomi 14 Pro has a slightly larger 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED screen that supports the same refresh rate and peak brightness. Other aspects, such as the processor, storage, and cameras, remain the same as the regular version. However, in terms of battery, the Pro version comes with a 4,880 mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging. Further, 50W wireless charging rates are standard on both smartphones.
