The vivo X500 series is gradually taking shape, and the latest leak focuses on what could be the most premium display in the lineup. According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, vivo is testing the X500 Pro Max with a 6.85-inch flat OLED panel supplied by BOE.
The display is said to feature a 2K resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate, and LIPO packaging technology, which has become increasingly popular among flagship phones for reducing bezel size without increasing the overall footprint of the device.
The leak also mentions 2.5D glass and high-frequency PWM dimming across the entire brightness range. Most flagship brands have been paying more attention to display comfort over the past two years, and full-range PWM dimming has become one of the specifications enthusiasts closely track alongside brightness and refresh rates.

The display details arrive as more information about the X500 family continues to surface. Current reports suggest vivo is preparing three major models: the standard X500, the X500 Pro, and the X500 Pro Max.
The strategy appears similar to what Xiaomi adopted with its flagship lineup, giving vivo separate devices for users prioritizing compactness, camera hardware, and top-end specifications.

Among the three models, the Pro Max is expected to carry the most ambitious camera system. Earlier leaks mentioned a 50MP main camera built around a new LOFIC sensor designed to improve dynamic range, alongside a 200MP periscope telephoto camera and a multispectral sensor.
Meanwhile, the smaller X500 Pro is rumored to move in a different direction with a more compact form factor and a 64MP 1/2-inch 3X periscope camera. That change has already generated discussion, especially since vivo’s recent Pro models have relied heavily on larger periscope sensors for zoom photography.
