Vivo has teased the launch of its latest flagship, the Vivo X Fold3 Pro, on Flipkart. This device, which has already made waves in China, is now set to redefine India’s foldable form factor.

The teaser showcases the X Fold3 Pro with a feather, indicating that it’s pretty lightweight. How lightweight? The Chinese variant of the X Fold3 Pro weighs just 236 grams, and we’re expecting the same weight here, in India as well.

One of the standout features of the Vivo X Fold3 Pro is its collaboration with Zeiss, the renowned optics company. The device will feature Zeiss T* coating, which enhances image clarity and reduces reflections. Additionally, users can look forward to Zeiss’s signature-style portrait colors and multifocal portrait technology.

The Vivo X Fold3 Pro prominently showcases AI branding, meaning that we will see a bunch of AI features on the device. Unfortunately, we don’t have any additional information on this. But stay tuned for when Vivo reveals more details on the device.

Vivo X Fold3 Pro

The Vivo X Fold3 Pro has already been making headlines as the world’s thinnest smartphone. This ultra-slim foldable is expected to launch with the following specifications:

  • 8.03-inch LTPO AMOLED 120 Hz 4500 nits inner display, 6.53-inch LTPO AMOLED 120 Hz 4500 nits cover display
  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, V3 Imaging chip
  • Up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage
  • 50 MP + 64 MP + 50 MP rear camera
  • 32 MP inner and 32 MP outer selfie cameras
  • 5,700 mAh battery + 100W wired and 50W wireless charging
  • FuntouchOS 14 based on Android 14

Specs aside, it will be interesting to see how Vivo optimizes FuntouchOS 14 for this sizeable foldable form factor. The company uses OriginOS in China, which is well-optimized to give the best foldable experience. While we can’t expect OriginOS in India, we can surely expect a well-optimized experience.
