TL; DR
- Digital Chat Station leaked the Vivo X500 Pro Mini’s battery, targeting close to 7,000mAh.
- Current testing is at 6,500-6,600mAh, with an 85mm periscope and LOFIC sensor limiting space.
- Expected specs include Dimensity 9600 Pro, 6.37-inch LTPO OLED, and a September China launch.
Fitting a 7,000mAh battery into a compact flagship, especially one with a 6.4-inch screen, is quite challenging. So when reliable tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the Vivo X500 Pro Mini is testing at 6,500 to 6,600mAh, with an attempt to reach 7,000mAh in the final stages of development, it is worth paying attention to.

The Camera Isn’t Leaving Enough Space For The Battery
While silicon-carbon chemistry allows manufacturers to cram more battery capacity in tighter spaces, the available space in a phone’s chassis is still limited, since there are other components to fit in as well, including the motherboard, speakers, the USB-C port, and the camera sensor.
That is the case with the X500 Pro Mini. DCS specifically cited an 85mm 64MP periscope telephoto alongside a large LOFIC primary camera as what is “putting immense pressure” on the internal layout.

An 85mm periscope requires a longer prism setup than a 70mm setup, consuming more space (horizontally) inside an already compact chassis. Add a LOFIC sensor, which needs even more capacitor architecture at the pixel level, and you are packing two physically demanding components into a form factor that most brands don’t.
I reported on the Sony LYTIA 610 earlier this year, the 64MP sensor designed specifically for compact periscope setups. Given that DCS previously identified the IMX06H as the X500 Pro’s telephoto chip, that is almost certainly the same sensor Vivo is using here.

What Else Do We Know
The X500 Pro Mini is expected to feature the 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro, a 6.37-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED flat display at 144Hz, a 50MP LOFIC primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide, and OriginOS 7 on Android 17.
China launch could take place in September, while Indian buyers typically get the X-series a couple of months later.
