Vivo India has come up with a new “VIVO Smart Retail” model to connect its offline retailers with customers. The model is focussed on following the norms of social distancing while doing business.

The Indian government is offering few relaxations in green and orange zones of the country to flag off the offline market. Several e-commerce companies have also commenced delivering non-essential goods including mobiles, laptops, and other electronics. In this order, Vivo’s Smart Retail model will be implemented to boost smartphone demand across offline networks.

The pilot project of Vivo Smart Retail comprises over 20,000 retailers and 30,000 in-store promoters or brand ambassadors to build the chain. As of now, the system will be exclusive to Indian markets.

“To ensure business continuity of our offline partners, we have decided to create this unique lead generation platform. We hope to connect our customers and our channel partners effectively using this one of its kind systems,” Nipun Marya, Director Brand Strategy, Vivo India said during the launch of the program.

How Vivo Smart Retail Works

Interested customers can SMS their smartphone-related queries on 955771110. The user can also connect with Vivo online store or via Facebook page to place orders and sort-out their queries. Once a token is generated, Vivo’s promoters will help the buyers to meet the requirements by connecting them with one of the 20,000 retailers.

The company has started the SMS-based connectivity to serve the consumers across pan India, and the other two platforms will be in action from May 12.
