Apple’s breakthrough mixed reality glasses, Vision Pro, could launch a tad earlier than expected. During the WWDC 2023, Apple said the headset would arrive in early 2024 without marking a particular date. Since then, the company has been busy finishing the product and preparing it for sale. However, due to the intricate design and the dependence on a third party for the prescription lenses, experts expected a slight delay in the product’s launch.

Vision Pro Could Arrive One Month Earlier Than Expected

Back in November, known Apple analyst and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reported that the launch has been pushed from January 2024 to March 2024. However, in his latest newsletter, Gurman reiterates that the Vision Pro could arrive as soon as February 2024. He elaborates on how Apple has ramped up the overseas production of the headset to aim for a February launch.

Chinese Facilities At Running At Full Capacity To Speed Up Production

“Production of the new headset is running at full speed at facilities in China and has been for several weeks,” writes Gurman in his latest report. The goal is to prepare customer-bound units by the end of January so Apple can ship them to different locations. Along with this, Apple has also informed developers about testing their apps with the latest tools and submitting them for early feedback.

Apple Flew Executives To Teach Them The Vision Pro Setup Process

Earlier this month, Gurman also reported how the company is flying in executives from stores to teach them about the setup process. Moreover, the Vision Pro is going to be the first time in nine years that the company will ship an entirely new product to stores in the United States and, eventually, around the world.

Further, buying the headset should be a unique experience for Apple customers, as they would have to get prescription lenses, learn how the product and all the related features work, and most likely, pre-book a unit for themselves well in advance.
