Netflix has revolutionized the way people consume entertainment content. What started as a streaming website for binge-watching your favorite shows, came all the way to creating its’ own exclusive content that garners the attention of people from across the globe.

Netflix has also started gaining popularity in our country with its exclusive content like Sacred Games, Lust Stories, Little Things 2 and Ghoul – that brings much-needed respite from the Saas-bahu sagas that have been ubiquitous since more than a decade. 1) Selection Day – Dec 28

Selection Day is a Netflix Original content based on the book written by Aravind Adiga bearing the same name. This movie is based on the life of two siblings Manju and Radha whose father is very much motivated in getting his sons into Mumbai’s Under-19 club. The rest of the story revolves around how these two handle the pressures around them to get ready for the toughest innings of their life.

2) Death by Magic – November 30

This show revolves around Magician Drummond Money-Couts who travels around the world showcasing his talent to the people and sharing his love for the craft. He is notoriously known for attempting magic feats that proved fatal for other magicians. This TV show is sure to get you excited with its insane level of magic stunts.

3) Perfume – December 21

If you are a fan of thriller movies, then this one is for you. This movie revolves around a group of 6 students from a boarding school who become friends through their intense passion for scent. One of them ends up murdered a few years down the lane and the police investigations uncover interesting secrets about the group. Based on Süskind’s best selling novel, this one gives a fresh spin into serial killing. This movie is made in German, so you will have to rely on subtitles for if you are up for it.

4) The Protector – December 14

This is based on the life of a guy from Istanbul who is destined to be the Protector and will take against the Immortal enemy. Watch him go through strenuous training and myriad of turns to ultimately become capable of saving the day.

5) Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle – December 7

Our childhood favourite, Mowgli is back to take us back into the wonderland and relive our infancy age. Created by Andy Serkis, a renown actor and director, this movie deals with the story of a boy who lost his way into the woods and how he finally accepts his destiny to become a legend. The movie shows him embarking on a journey to discover where he truly belongs to.

6) Out of Many, One – December 12

A Netflix Original Documentary, Out of Many, One, takes you through the lives of 5 immigrants who are embarking on their journey to attain US citizenship. It shows what makes US one of the most popular destination for the immigrants around the world and how US lives up to its national motto “E Pluribus Unum”: Out of Many, One.

7) Pine Gap: Season 1 – December 7

Pine Gap is an actual Australian Earth station situated 18 kilometres to the south west of Alice Springs, a territory of Australia which is jointly operated by the United States and Australia. It’s a joint defence facility and this show deals with the fictional story involving the possibility of the relations between the two nations threatened by the secrets shared between them.

8) Tidelands Season 1 – December 14

This web series revolves around the life of a former criminal who returns back home after serving her sentence. Situations take an unexpected turn when she tries to uncover the mystery surrounding the death of a local fisherman that washes ashore. She comes across the dark secrets of the town while trying to solve the mystery surrounding the death of the fisherman.

9) Roma – December 14

This critically acclaimed film is set in the backdrop of early 1970s and reprises the life of the film’s director in Mexico City. It brings to light the day to day life of a middle-class family and its live-in housekeeper. This movie went to garner rave reviews from critics and has even been chosen by the Time magazine as the best film of 2018.

10) Narcos: Mexico

Last but not the least, Narcos: Mexico is a companion series to the highly successful Netflix original show Narcos. This show majorly deals with the evolution of the drug cartel in Mexico. it primarily focusses on the rise of Guadalajara Cartel, headed by Felix Gallardo and how DEA agent Kiki Camarena deals with the mess. Though this show has been released sometime in November, it is an exciting option for the people who haven’t watched it yet.
