Google-backed Mobvoi has released its TicWatch E3 smartwatch in India. The watch can thank both Snapdragon 4100 and WearOS software for all the smarts its brings to the wrist. This includes trackers for SpO2, heart rate, sleep, stress, plenty of apps from Play Store, and a slew of sports modes. On top of all that there is a circular dial which should appeal the minimalists.

Here are more deets of Mobvoi’s new timepiece —

TicWatch E3 Features

TicWatch E3 has got a 1.3″ round LCD screen with 360×360 resolution, 2.5D glass and an Always On Display feature. This is a polycarbonate body with detachable silicone rubber strap and weighs 32 grams. The watch is available in Panther Black color and the straps in Black, Blue, and Yellow paints.

On the software side, there’s WearOS and ready access to apps like Google Maps, Google Fit, Google Assistant, and Google Pay. The latter supports NFC based contactless payments. Besides Google’s E3 is compatible with Strava, Spotify, and other 3rd party apps.

There is a microphone and a speaker on the watch which means you can take and speak on calls over the smartwatch. You can interact with Google Assistant too and use it for controlling smart devices in your home. Speaking of controlling, you can pair it with the brand’s TWS buds called TicPods and manage it without touching the smartphone. The same goes for navigation and location mapping. The watch features GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou sensors.

Other sensors in the mix are an accelerometer, gyro, and a low-latency off-body detection sensor. The lattermost could be useful in TicMotion which starts a workout automatically based on the user’s physical movements. TicWatch E3 packs 20+ sports modes like Walking, Running, Yoga, Cycling, Skating, High Intensity, Pilates, Taekwondo, Mountain Climbing, popular ball sports, Rowing, and Swimming. The watch is IP68 certified for dust and water resistance.

Under the hood, there is Snapdragon 4100 with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. The battery size is 380mAh with claimed endurance of up to 72 hours in Smart Mode and 45 days in stripped down Essential mode. For connectivity, you have Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 5.0.

TicWatch E3 is manageable using Mobvoi app available on Google Play and App Store. Among other things, you also get real-time notification sync, and customizable watch faces.
