Airtel India, the country’s second-largest telecommunications provider, has launched two new prepaid recharge plans with bundled OTT services. While one of these plans offers access to Disney+ Hotstar, the other provides a Netflix subscription. In both cases, the duration of the complementary OTT service is similar to that of the plan’s validity. That said, here are more details about the new Airtel recharge plans, their data allowance, and other benefits.
Rs. 869 Prepaid Recharge Comes With Disney+ Hotstar
Airtel has released a new Rs. 869 prepaid plan with a validity of 84 days. For the duration, the plan offers 2GB of data per day, along with 100 SMS. Further, the plan includes unlimited local voice calls. Additional benefits of the recharge plan include a Disney+ Hotstar Mobile subscription for three months, which provides access to live sports, movies, and other exclusive shows on the OTT platform. Users also get several bundled services, including Unlimited 5G Data for those with compatible devices and subscriptions to RewardsMini, Apollo 24|7 Circle, free Hellotunes, and Wink Music.
Rs. 1,499 Prepaid Recharge Offers A Free Netflix Subscription
The company has also launched a new Rs. 1,499 prepaid plan with a validity of 84 days. However, it offers 3GB of daily data allowance along with 100 SMS per day. Users also get unlimited local voice calls. This particular plan includes all the benefits of the Rs. 869 plan and replaces the complementary Disney+ Hotstar subscription with a three-month Netflix Basic subscription.
How Do The New Plans Compare To Those Of Reliance Jio?
Reliance Jio currently offers a Rs. 758 recharge plan. It’s valid for 84 days, provides a total data allowance of 126GB (1.5FB per day), and allows users to send up to 100 SMS per day. The plan also includes unlimited voice calling. Additional benefits of the plan include a three-month Disney+ Hotstar Mobile subscription. Jio also offers a Rs. 808 recharge plan, valid for 84 days, provides 2GB of data daily, and offers a three-month subscription to Disney+ Hotstar. Compared with Airtel, Jio’s plans provide more flexibility related to the daily data allowance.
Regarding plans with a complementary Netflix subscription, Jio lists two options on its website. The first one is priced at Rs. 1,099. It is valid for 84 days and provides 2GB of data every day. The second plan costs Rs. 1,499. It is valid for 84 days and provides 3GB of daily data allowance. Both these plans include a Netflix subscription for their duration.
