The Chinese consumer electronics brand Poco unveiled its first tablet on May 23 — the Poco Pad. The brand claims that it has engineered the device for both professional and personal use. For instance, it features a massive 12.1-inch screen, quad speakers, and a battery that provides up to 16 hours of video playback.
Under the hood, the tablet runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, but more on that later. For now, we know that the tablet has debuted internationally and could soon arrive in the Indian market. So, without any further ado, let’s quickly skim through all its specifications and features, along with the international pricing.

Poco Pad: Design, Screen, And Processor
Moreover, the Poco Pad has a design similar to that of midrange tablets. Users get symmetrical bezels on the front, a plain rear panel with the camera module, and the brand’s mascot at the bottom corner. The good thing, however, is that the front-facing camera resides on the wider edge of the tablet and not on the shorter edge, as seen on several other devices in the segment.
Regarding the screen, users get a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits. On lower brightness levels, the tablet ensures a flicker-free experience with DC dimming technology. Last but not least, the display supports Dolby Vision content, implying that it supports high dynamic range content. In addition, the tablet features four speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos. Hence, video and audio streaming shouldn’t be a problem on this device.
Under the hood, the tablet runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, based on a 4nm fabrication process. We’ve already seen processors on smartphones like Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and Poco X6. The mid-range processor is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which should make the tablet a multimedia powerhouse. Users can also expand the storage up to 1.5TB with external microSD cards.

Poco Pad: Camera, Battery, And Other Features
On the back, the tablet features an 8MP (f/2.0) camera with an LED flash module, whereas on the front, users get an 8MP (f/2.28) sensor. Both cameras are limited to 1080p of maximum resolution at 30 frames per second. Battery life is one aspect where the Poco Pad raises some hopes.
The company claims that the tablet can provide up to 16 hours of video playback time with a 10,000 mAh battery, which is pretty decent. As massive as the battery is, it supports 33W wired charging.
Regarding software, the Poco Pad runs on the latest HyperOS. It features all the fancy ecosystem quirks like dragging and dropping files across devices (on HyperOS), casting the phone’s screen on the tablet, and so on.
With the tablet, Poco has also launched a couple of accessories, such as the Pad Cover, the Pad Keyboard, and the Smart Pen. While the former costs $20, the latter costs $80 and $60, respectively.
