Tata XPres-T launched as the first EV sedan from the vehicle maker

Tata Motors has launched its first electric sedan in India under its XPRES sub-brand dubbed Xpres-T EV. The indigenous manufacturer has presented two models based on mileage for fleet customers. The top model offers a range of 213km while the other has a maximum range of 165km. 

Tata Xpres-T Electric Sedan Prices & Availability

Tata Motors has set the price of the XM model of XpresT 165 at Rs 9.54 Lakh and the XZ variant at Rs 10.04 Lakh. The XpresT 213 model is priced at Rs 10.14 Lakh for the XM+ variant and Rs 10.64 Lakh for the top XZ+ variant. The price is inclusive of the FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and EV) subsidy offered by the central government of India. 

Tata Xpres-T Electric Sedan Specs

The two Tata Xpres-T electric sedans are equipped with powerful 21.5 kWh and 16.5 kWh offering a maximum range of 213km and 165km respectively. The mileage meets with the test conditions of ARAI certified standards. The car is powered on a 3-phase induction motor with a potential of 40hp and 105Nm torque.

The built-in battery supports fast charging and can be juiced up to 80% in 110 minutes when plugged with a 15kW charger. While a domestic 15A plug will fully charge the battery in 12 hours.

The EV sedan features a Harman-backed infotainment system, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity. Standard safety features include dual airbags, power windows, rear parking sensors, ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) system, remote lock support, and seat belt reminder.

Tata XPres-T dashboard

The XPres-T comes with a facelift design similar to the Tata Tigor and has blue accents on its front grille and inner dashboard to make it stand out. The car sports an all-black interior and a single Pearlescent White exterior.

With the Tata Xpres-T EV sedan, the company has expressed its motive of targeting fleet customers including government, corporates, and public mobility service providers.
