Tata Nexon Expands Lineup with Budget-Friendly Entry Models, Starting from Rs. 7.99 Lakh

Tata Motors has expanded its Nexon lineup with the launch of a new standard variant making it more affordable for the consumers. The company has launched new Smart (O) and Smart+ variants with all similar design and other features like the existing lineup. Here are more details about the price and other specifications of the newly launched Nexon Smart (O) variant.

“The Nexon range will now start at a price of Rs. 7.99 lakhs with the addition of the Smart (O) persona in its petrol lineup. Furthermore, to make the portfolio more attractive for diesel aficionados, Tata Motors has introduced its 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder Revotorq diesel engine in the Smart+ and Smart+ S persona, with prices starting at Rs. 9.99 lakh. Bolstering the larger strategy of the brand, we are confident that these interventions will aid in enhancing the overall proposition of Nexon and will surely appeal to newer sets of car buyers,” as per Tata Motor’s official statement.

Nexon New Standard Variants Price

Tata Motors has launched new entry-level variants for both the petrol and diesel versions of the Nexon SUV. Now, the starting price for the petrol model is Rs. 7.99 lakh, and for the diesel model, it’s Rs. 9.99 lakh. The petrol Nexon is now offered in the Smart(O) variant, while the diesel variant is available from the Smart+ variant onwards. Previously, the petrol Nexon started from the Smart variant, while the diesel variant began from the mid-spec Pure variant.

Specifications And Features

The company claims that the latest entry-level diesel variant comes with features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For better audio the car offers four speakers placed at the front and rear sections of the car. There is also a reverse camera, a shark fin antenna, a multi-function steering wheel. Apart from that the new standard variants comes doen’t ditches the power windows, and electrically adjustable ORVMs.

Meanwhile, the company has made some vital changes to the pricing of the Nexon Smart+ petrol manual variant, reducing it by Rs. 31,000. Earlier the model was up for grabs at Rs. 9.2 lakh and now costs Rs. 8.89 lakh, with the addition of a reverse camera as a new feature. Additionally, the Nexon Smart+ S variant has also received a price reduction of Rs. 41,000, now retailing at Rs. 9.39 lakh.
