Sony launches 5 in-car media receivers in XAV Extra Bass Series

Sony India has announced a series of five in-car media receivers today. The line-up is called the XAV Extra Bass series that aims to enhance the driving experience. The company promises to deliver a smarter and safer on-road experience. 

The five new Sony audio receiver models support Smartphone Mirroring by WebLink TM1 Cast. The top models are XAV-AX8000, XAV-AX7000, and XAV-AX5500; and the later are XAV-3500 and XAV-1500. The top models also support advanced features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Sony XAV Extra Bass Series Features

The Sony XAV-AX8000 model has an 8.95-inch anti-glare LCD screen and it offers a 4-channel amplifier. The mount can be adjusted in three directions to allow for flexible installation in a wide variety of vehicles. The media receiver is compatible with Apple and Android smartphones to integrate with for streaming music, finding directions, voice controls, and more.

The XAV-AX7000 features a 6.95 bezel-less anti-glare capacitive touchscreen. There is a high power built-in Class-D amplifier that offers 4 x 100 W power output. Simple button controls are provided with the latest smartphone connectivity.

The Sony XAV-AX5500 is a 6.95 bezel-less flush surface display audio receiver with dual USB ports to connect smartphones and pen drives simultaneously. The mirroring of the smartphone can be done using the WebLink Host app delivery platform. Easy buttons, dual USB, and smartphone compatibility is supported.

The XAV-3500 is a lower range model with a 6.95-inch anti-glare and responsive touchscreen for quick-tap operation. There are four 55W dynamic reality Amps with DSO sound optimization. The WebLink connection is also supported by the audio receiver model.

The Sony XAV-1500 has similar features as the XAV-3500 model, but a smaller 6.2-inch screen size.
