Samsung can’t keep the lid on this anymore. One of the most awaited of 2018 smartphones, Galaxy S9 and S9+, are still a couple of months away from the official unveiling, but we already know a lot about these devices.

Not long ago it was revealed that both the devices are going to be industry’s first smartphone to feature Snapdragon 845 (in the US, of course). Now, a new report has cropped in from Geekbench, which reportedly lists their benchmark results.

The leaked image showed the Samsung device listed as “SM-G965U1”, on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. And according to previous rumors, the SM-G965 model number belongs to the forthcoming Galaxy S9+ smartphone.

As you can see in the image, the Samsung Galaxy S9+ (model number SM-G965) got a single-core benchmark score of 2422, and a multi-core score of 8351. This is the first time that a Samsung smartphone went past 2,000 marks on single-core test on Geekbench. Also, Samsung registered the best ever multi-core score on the benchmarking platform and the credit goes to Qualcomm’s latest processor.

The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are expected to be launched in February, next year, during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 event.
