TL; DR
  • Samsung has listed an app on the Galaxy Store called “Samsung Internet Browser for Fold7 and Flip7.”
  • The Galaxy Z Flip FE might cost around 1 million Korean won, which is about $736, roughly Rs. 63,000.
  • Some reports also suggest a July 10 launch date for Samsung’s next-generation foldables, but there appears to be a disagreement among leakers about this.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 can’t seem to escape the headlines. Whether it is the report about a significantly larger cover screen or the Ultra foldable officially teased by the company a few days ago, the rumors are consistently building hype that would eventually lead to the expected launch event in July.

Ahead of any official announcement from the company, a publication seems to have spotted the purported foldables’ monikers posted by none other than Samsung on its digital app store.

Samsung Internet For Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 Is Already Listed On The Galaxy Store

According to a report by GalaxyClub, Samsung listed an app on the Galaxy Store called “Samsung Internet Browser for Fold7 and Flip7.” We could verify the listing as it was still available at the time of writing this report. The version number for the app is “28.0.2.43.”

The publication also notes how the listing isn’t available on a Samsung Galaxy smartphone running One UI 7. It is only visible to devices running One UI 8 based on Android 16, which is the operating system that the upcoming devices are expected to debut with.

Even though the listing doesn’t reveal any new features about the Samsung Internet app (despite hearing rumors about the app’s ability to summarize videos in One UI 8), its listing on the Galaxy Store, an online app store owned by Samsung, officially confirms the existence of the Fold7 and the Flip7.

The Galaxy Z Flip FE Could Cost Significantly Less Than The Flip7

Meanwhile, another report from Korea claims that the Galaxy Z Flip FE could cost around 1 million Korean won, which is about $736, roughly Rs. 63,000. While this could be a great launch price for the Fan Edition of Samsung’s Flip series, it may vary across different regions due to import duties, shipping costs, and other factors.

Either way, if the leaked pricing of 1 million Korean won is anything to go by, the Galaxy Z Flip FE will be much more affordable and accessible than the mainstream Flip7, which could cost around $1,000 or higher. In the past, we’ve published reports about how the Galaxy Z Flip FE could provide similar specifications to the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

We’re Expecting The Galaxy Unpacked Event To Take Place In July 2024

Elsewhere, some reports also suggest a July 10 launch date for Samsung’s next-generation foldables, but there appears to be a disagreement among leakers about this. Either way, the Korean giant should unveil the Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip FE in the month of July (similar to the launch timeline in 2024).
