0

Samsung has officially teased an Unpacked Event for February 2022 and it seems like the day has finally arrived when the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S22 Series will see the light of the day. The President & Head of MX Business, Samsung Electronics Dr. TM Roh has confirmed little details about the upcoming Galaxy S22 series without revealing the exact date of launch or specs.

In his official blog post, Dr. TM Roh said, “At Unpacked in February 2022, we’ll introduce you to the most noteworthy S Series device we’ve ever created. The next generation of Galaxy S is here, bringing together the greatest experiences of our Samsung Galaxy into one ultimate device.” Here is the teaser video that is shared by Samsung.

From the looks of the teaser, it seems like Samsung is planning to bring back the charms of the Galaxy Note, but will not name the device “Note”. The S Series might feature a Note-like design with an S-Pen bundled with it.

Samsung Note Series Flashback

To recall, Samsung did create an uproar in the smartphone market when it launched the 1st Galaxy Note device back in 2011. The device was large compared to the standards of those times with a 5.3-inch display and the S-pen made it unique too. The display was the largest in 2011 but the device was pricey which made it not buyable for many users.

From then on, the Note series has gone through an evolution in these last 11 years as we saw it growing in size, getting premium specs, powerful cameras, and better S-pens. However, last year some reports started claiming that Samsung has done away with the Note series as it has not launched a single Note device in 2021. Now, it is clear that the reports were untrue, as Samsung is all set to bring its Note series back in 2022.

The company is expected to unveil the Galaxy S22 Ultra as Roh claimed in his blog, “Get ready for the ultimate Ultra experience.” This means Samsung lovers are in for a treat again after a successful 2021 wherein the company launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 as its flagship devices. Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy Tab S8 series alongside the S22 Series in February 2022.
