Samsung Rolls Out One UI 6.0 For Beta Users In Germany

After months of rumors and leaks, Samsung is finally rolling out the much-awaited One UI 6.0, albiet to beta users. The new operating system is based on Google’s Android 14, which came out early in October 2023. Although the first devices to get the beta update are those in the Galaxy S23 series, other compatible devices (list given below) should get the update soon

One UI 6.0 Beta Rolls Out

Tarun Vats, on microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter), posted earlier today that Samsung has pushed the One UI 6 stable update for beta users. However, the update is only available in Germany. The build number of the update, as shared by the X user, is S916BOXM3BWJM/S916BXXU3BWJM. Further, the update has a size of 349.18MB.

Along with this update, Samsung upgraded the security patch level to October 1, 2023. Per a report by SamMobile, the Galaxy devices that have received the One UI 6.0 update include the S23, S23 Plus, and the S23 Ultra. Given that the beta update is already out, there’s a good chance that Samsung will release the software update for general users shortly.

One UI 6.0 Changelog

Several X users have tweeted the changelog of One UI 6.0, which contains a lot of upgrades. For instance, the latest operating system by Samsung offers a new font, simpler icon labels, improved weather and camera widgets, new lockscreen customization options, redesigned Quick Settings panel, new emoji styles in the Samsung Keyboard, tweaks in the Camera app, etc. Other notable betterments include more languages for Bixby Text Call and a new Auto Blocker that prevents the installation of unauthorized apps.

How To Update Your Samsung Galaxy Device To One UI 6.0?

Head to Settings, Software Update, and check for available updates. If the system shows that the One UI 6.0 update is available for your device, hit Download and Install. However, before proceeding with the update, you should ensure that your phone has over 50 percent battery and is connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection for downloading the new files.

One UI 6.0 Compatible Devices

Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus

The Samsung Galaxy devices eligible for the One UI 6.0 stable update include the Galaxy S21 series (including S21 FE), the Galaxy S22 series, and the Galaxy S23 series (including S23 FE). The foldables that will receive this update include the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, and newer models. What’s good is that some of the most affordable smartphones in the Galaxy series, including the Galaxy A04s and the Galaxy A13, are also said to receive the One UI 6.0 update.

The Galaxy A14, A23, A24, A33, A34, A52, A53, A54, A72, and A73 will also get the update. A few Galaxy M devices that are eligible include M54, M53 5G, M33 5G, and M23. Both the Tab S8 series and the Tab S9 series users can also download the One UI 6.0 update once it is available.
