Samsung Launches Glasses-Free Odyssey 3D And 4K 240Hz OLED Odyssey G8 In India

The Korean technology conglomerate Samsung has launched its 2025 Odyssey gaming monitors lineup in India. The lineup consists of three models: the glasses-free Odyssey 3D, the Odyssey OLED G8 that provides 4K resolution at 240Hz, and the curved Odyssey G9.

Per Samsung, the monitors cater to “gamers, content creators, and professionals” who require superior visual fidelity. Let’s explore all the monitors, along with their features and price.

Odyssey 3D: Glasses-Free 3D Technology Now In India

With advanced eye-tracking technology and view mapping algorithms, the Odyssey 3D 27-inch monitor (G90XF) produces high-definition 3D visuals. The monitor also enables AI-powered video conversation, allowing users to transform standard videos into 3D (with the Reality Hub app).

Additional features of the Odyssey 3D include a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and support for AMD FreeSync. The monitor also has built-in speakers, along with Edge Lighting, that further enhance the gaming experience.

The Odyssey 3D is available on Samsung’s official website for Rs. 1,27,299.

Odyssey G8: An OLED Monitor That Supports 4K At 240Hz

Next up in the company’s 2025 lineup is the Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF), which features Quantum Dot technology and produces vibrant colors and deep contrast. The monitor also has VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certification, ensuring near-infinite contrast.

What’s great is that the monitor provides 4K resolution at a 240Hz refresh rate, allowing gamers to enjoy demanding titles with exceptional clarity and smoothness. To add to the gaming experience, the Odyssey G8 provides the Core Lighting+ feature, which uses RGB lighting on the back of the monitor to produce ambient lighting that matches the colors on the screen.

Additional features of the gaming monitor include OLED Safeguard+ and Dynamic Cooling System, which increase the screen’s longevity, glare-free technology that makes the monitor 56% less glossy, and a 0.03ms response time for professional gamers.

The Samsung Odyssey G8 is available in two screen sizes. While the 27-inch monitor is listed for Rs. 91,299, the 32-inch monitor is available for RS. 1,18,999.

Odyssey G9: 49-inch Curved Gaming Monitor

Last but not least, Samsung has released the Odyssey G9 curved monitor in India, which offers enhanced brightness, contrast, and a vivid color range. The monitor supports a 144Hz refresh rate, has a VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, and supports HDR10+ gaming.

Additional features include a 1ms response time, support for AMD FreeSync Premium, Picture-by-Picture, and Picture-in-Picture modes, allowing users to view content from different sources at one time.

The Odyssey G9 curved monitor is available for Rs. 94,099.
