Samsung unveiled the second edition of its wearable fitness band, Gear Fit2 Pro, in India. The band is a successor of the South Korean firm’s previous offering, Gear Fit2 that has the same physical appearance and basic specs as the Pro one.
However, Samsung has made a major refinement in Gear Fit2 Pro by upgrading its waterproof limit to a depth of 50 meters and adding other handy features like Auto-heart rate tracking, GPS Activity tracking, and smart notification.

Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro Specification
The Gear Fit2 Pro is a compact, lightweight and sleek fitness watch for fitness enthusiasts. The display on the fitness band is Samsung’s famous AMOLED panel – it flaunts a 1.5-inch curved display with has 216 x 432 pixels resolution, and is protected Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
Under the hood, the Gear Fit2 Pro is powered by a Dual Core 1.0 GHz processor coupled with 512MB RAM and 4GB Storage space. The band runs on the Tizen OS, and sports replaceable silicone straps. It houses a 200mAh battery.

The Gear device comes with US Military STD-810G testing and is 5 ATM water resistant, which Samsung claims will be swim-proof up to 50 meters. Samsung has partnered with Speedo for the “Speed On” swimming app. It will let users track lap count, lap time, stroke type and more with the new fitness devices.
Other features include GPS tracking, keeping account of your fitness activities like tracking exercises, nutrition, and sleep monitoring.

Samsung Gear Sport Specification
On the other hand, the Samsung Gear Sport is also fitness watch that tracks exercises, nutrition and sleep, just like the Gear Fit2 Pro. It is also a waterproof watch comes with the same rating as its sibling.
In terms of specifications, the Gear Sport flaunts the circular display, like its predecessor Gear S3. This one has an Always On 1.2-inch circular Super AMOLED display with 360 x 360 pixels resolution protected under Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The watch is powered by 1.0 GHz processor with 768 MB RAM and 4GB storage space. The battery on the same is 300mAh battery and connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.2, WiFi, NFC, GPS.
Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro Price and Availability
The Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro will be available in a choice of black or black with a red underside options on Flipkart and you can purchase the fitness tracker for Rs. 13,590 starting from December.
Whereas the Gear Sport comes in two colours option: Black and Blue. You can purchase the watch from Amazon, for a price of Rs. 22,990.
