Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime 2018 Spotted at FCC, Expected Launch in Early 2018

Samsung seems to be lining up for the 2018 launches as various reports suggest that the Korean giant is already working on Galaxy S9, S9+, a foldable phone, Galaxy A5, A7, and A8 (2018). Now latest information from the US-based regulatory body FCC reveals Samsung will be expanding its J series with Galaxy J5 Prime (2018) which is likely to debut soon.

According to the FCC listing, the J5 Prime 2018 edition will be coded as SM-G571F/DS and could be announced in the early days of 2018. As per the FCC listing, the dual SIM phone supports a 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, Wi-Fi, and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone will feature a non-removable battery.

Earlier, the Galaxy J5 Prime (2018) was spotted on another benchmarking site GFX Bench unveiled almost all the specifications and other details about the smartphone. As per GFX Bench listing, the Galaxy J5 Prime (2018) will house an Exynos 7570 chipset along with 3gigs of RAM and 32GB onboard storage.

Samsung is reportedly aiming to shrink its real estate. As compared to 5-inch display of its predecessor, J5 Prime 2018 edition is likely to feature a 4.8-inch display with a 1280 x 720-pixel resolution. The device could boot up in Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. There’s an outside chance that Samsung introduces it running on Oreo instead of Nougat.

In optic, the Galaxy J5 Prime (2018) is expected to feature a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
