A few weeks ago, South Korean technology leader Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. With these next-generation foldable devices, the company aimed to lead the market in foldable technology, and the pre-order figures indicate that they have succeeded. Samsung reported a 25% increase in total pre-orders for both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 compared to the previous generation. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 has achieved more orders than any prior Galaxy Z Fold model in history, resulting in carrier partners experiencing an approximate 60% increase in pre-orders for both devices when compared to the models from 2024.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Z Flip 7 are in Demand

Last week, the general availability of these foldable devices was announced, and orders have since exceeded those of the previous generation by over 25%. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is outperforming its predecessors by almost 50% since it became available on July 25th.

Talking about record-breaking pre-orders, Drew Blackard, Senior VP of Mobile Product Management at Samsung Electronics America, said, “Foldables have reached an inflection point as they are becoming a mainstream choice for users. Now, on our seventh generation, we’ve addressed consumer feedback year after year and have arrived at the kind of experience you can’t get on any other device. When people go hands-on with a Z-Series device, they’re hooked- and now it’s all coming together with record-breaking numbers.”

As interest in the Z7 Series foldables continues to rise, user preferences regarding color and style are evolving. Previously, Z Fold users predominantly selected the Black color; however, Blue Shadow has now accounted for nearly half of the pre-orders for the Z Fold 7.

As for Galaxy Z Flip 7, demand for the coral red color has surpassed expectations, making up for 25% of its pre-orders.
