Over the past few years, Samsung has released an FE model of its flagship S series. Last year, we witnessed the launch of the Galaxy S23 FE which offered most of the flagship S series features at a more affordable price. Now that the Galaxy S24 FE leak has hit the internet suggesting an official launch might happen later this year.

A tipster on X suggests that the Galaxy S24 FE will use the Exynos 2400 chip in all regions. For those who are unaware, Samsung usually has two variants of the FE device—Exynos and Snapdragon. If the claim turns out to be true, this will be the first time Samsung announced fan edition with only Exynos chip.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE: What to expect?

According to a tipster, the upcoming Galaxy S24 FE is anticipated to feature 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, along with storage options of 128 GB (UFS 3.1) and 256 GB (UFS 4.0). Additionally, it is reported to be equipped with a 4,500mAh battery. While specific details regarding its charging capabilities have not been disclosed, it is speculated that the device will support 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, mirroring its predecessor.

Although the presence of an AMOLED display in the Galaxy S24 FE is expected, the exact size remains uncertain at this time. Further details regarding the smartphone are currently unavailable.

In previous iterations, such as the S23 FE, Samsung released models featuring both Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipsets in different regions. However, recent leaks suggest that the Galaxy S24 FE may exclusively feature an Exynos chipset for the global market.

Moreover, the leakter suggests a shift in chipset strategies between Samsung’s product lines. Allegedly, the Z series of foldable phones will utilize Snapdragon chipsets, while the Fan Edition will adopt Exynos chipsets exclusively. Additionally, future releases in the Galaxy A-series, as well as M-series and F-series variants (derivatives of the A-series), are speculated to incorporate a mix of MediaTek and Exynos chipsets, according to the same leakster.
