Samsung just launched its new Galaxy series phone in India, Samsung Galaxy A8 Star. Simply put, the phone is just a rebranded version of Samsung Galaxy A9 star, that was launched in China, in the month of June. This mid-range phone carries a price tag of Rs. 34,990 in India and features Full-HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display panel with thin bezels, Face Unlock feature, pre-installed Secure Folder functionality to secure your personal data, Bixby integration, and Snapdragon 660 as its major attractions.
At its given price, Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has been pitched by the company to compete against several other mid-range phones like Xiaomi’s latest Poco F1, OnePlus 6, and Asus ZenFone 5Z.

Samsung Galaxy A8 Star Features
A 6.28-inch FHD+ (1080×2220p) Super AMOLED Infinity display is installed as the Galaxy A8 star’s front panel. As for its main hardware, the phone features Octa Core Snapdragon 660 processor along with Adreno 512 GPU. Its processors are assisted by 6GB RAM + 64GB primary storage, expandable up to 256GB (microSD).
A 3700mAh battery component having adaptive fast charging support powers the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and the phone features Android 8.1 Oreo and Samsung Experience UX layer as its software aspects.
The phone equips Samsung’s proprietary Dual Rear IntelliCam camera having 16MP (f/1.7) as the mobile’s main sensor with LED Flashlight assistance. A 24MP secondary sensor is also present alongside the main sensor. For shooting selfies, a 24MP front camera has been deployed, with an aperture of f/2.0. Other features backing the front camera of this phone include Smart Beauty and Pro Lighting technology and AR Stickers.

Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has been announced in India for Rs. 34,990. The phone will be retailed initially via Amazon India, beginning August 27. As per reports doing round in markets, Samsung will offer convenient EMI options on Galaxy A8 Star.
