Samsung Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 with high-refresh-rate displays, and Android 11 Launched in India

Just days after Awesome Unpacked, where Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 globally, we have the Indian price and availability details for the new Galaxy A-series phones. The common highlights of Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 include a 64MP quad rear camera, punch-hole display, and an IP67 rating.

Samsung Galaxy A52 & Galaxy A72 Price and Availability

Samsung has set the price of the Galaxy A52 (6+128GB) at ₹26,400, while the 8+128GB model is priced at ₹27,999.

The Samsung Galaxy A72, on the other hand, comes at a higher price tag of ₹34,999 for the base variant and ₹37,999 for the 8+256GB model.

Introductory offers include:

  • Up to ₹2000 and ₹3000 discounts with HDFC Bank credit/debit cards, and EMI transactions for Galaxy A52 and A72 respectively.

  • You can also avail a cashback of ₹1500 and ₹2000 on Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 respectively with EMI transactions through Zest Money.

Samsung Galaxy A52 Features

The Galaxy A52 4G gets a Snapdragon 720G processor coupled with RAM options of up to 8GB and a storage capacity of up to 128GB.

Upfront there is a 6.5-inch sAMOLED Full HD+ display that refreshes up to 90Hz. The panel also a punch-hole cut to house a front camera of 32MP resolution.

For rear photography, Samsung has used quadruple cameras in the Galaxy A52. The configuration includes a 64MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, a 5MP depth lens, and a 5MP macro lens.

Under the hood, the phone bears a 4500mAh battery with 25W fast charge support. The phone offers an in-display fingerprint sensor. The software it ships with is One UI 3.1 based on Android 11.

Samsung Galaxy A72 Features

The Samsung Galaxy A72 comes with a larger 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O punch-hole display. The panel offers a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits of brightness.

The Galaxy A72 is also equipped with a Snapdragon 720G chipset similar to Galaxy A52. The phone offers 8GB RAM and up to 256GB built-in storage. Inside it bags a beefy 5000mAh battery supporting a 25W fast charger. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Samsung Galaxy A72 ships with a quad rear camera setup comprising a 64MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, an 8MP telephoto sensor, and a 5MP macro lens. For selfies and video calls, the phone offers a 32MP front camera. Samsung has also partnered with Snapchat for 9 special effects, which can be found within the Fun mode section of the camera app.
