Samsung could launch Galaxy A-series and J-series phones in India on May 21

Samsung India has started rolling out press invites for May 21 event where it is expected to unveil new phones. The invite reads, ‘Say Hello to Infinity and More’, indicating that the forthcoming phones will at least boast Samsung’s Infinity display with slim bezels.

Although the invite didn’t mention the name of the device, past rumors and leaks indicate the arrival of Galaxy A-series and the J-series phones in the country.

Samsung Galaxy A6 and A6+ India Launch

The Galaxy A-series will include A6 and A6+ that were recently announced by the South Korean major. The handsets offer some of the sought-after features along with 18.5:9 full vision SAMOLED display.

Talking about their specifications, the Galaxy A6+ sports a 6-inch FHD+ panel and is powered by 1.8Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor. The phone sports a dual-16MP (f/1.7)+5MP (f/1.9) sensor and a 24-megapixel shooter with f/1.9 aperture lens and LED flash on the front.

The Galaxy A6, on the other hand, comes with a 5.6-inch HD+ panel and is powered by 1.6GHz Octa-Core Exynos 7870 SoC. For photography, it features a 16-megapixel f/1.7 sensor on the back and another 16MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture lens on the front for selfies.

As for the price, Samsung is said to pitch both Galaxy A6 and A6+ at the mid-range price where it will compete against the likes of Honor 10 and soon to be announced OnePlus 6.

Samsung Galaxy J-series 2018

Meanwhile, Samsung is also planning to introduce its Infinity display on affordable mid-range phones, starting with its Galaxy J-series. Industry-sources says that Samsung is working on four smartphones, all to be manufactured in India, with full vision display and thin bezels surrounding it. The phones are expected to be low-grade and cost you around Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000.
