Samsung is all set to upgrade its S series of tablets by introducing the newest member to the range, to be called the Galaxy Tab S3, if recent reports are anything to go by. The said device is expected to be revealed at the Mobile World Congress which is set to take place starting 26th February in Barcelona.

It has been a year and a half since the South Korean company came out with its last model in the high-end series, which was the Tab S2.

The latest report elucidates the possible specifications of the S3 which are a tad different from some previous reports that said that the purported S3 tablet would feature an Exynos 7420 chipset similar to the Galaxy S6 and Note 5.

According to the report, the Samsung’s newest tablet is set to feature a 9.6-inch screen and will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB RAM.

Also, the S3 will seemingly boot the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and is deemed to be available in LTE as well as Wifi-only models.

Along with the aforementioned specifications, the tablet is likely to feature a 12MP camera for photography and will reportedly be just 5.6mm thick. The report also points towards a Korean release in March.

Tech enthusiasts have put the expected price of the Tab S3 to be around $600 (approx. Rs. 40,700). While some are claiming the rumored specifications to be rock solid, some are a bit skeptical and feel that it would struggle against the much awaited iPad Pro that comes out later this year.

Let us know what your thoughts are on this apparent ‘Clash of the Tablets’ between Samsung and Apple.
