The rear looks the same in all of them with a capacitive fingerprint mount and a camera cave. The differences creep in the rear camera department.

Though the initial impression would be that you get a 48MP plus 5MP setup in both Redmi Note 7 Pro (review) and the latest Note 7s. The Note 7 Pro wields a better Sony IMX 581 sensor while the new Note 7s ships with Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor. Moving on, the third contender, i.e., Redmi Note 7 has the weakest cameras of the lot which is a 12MP + 2MP duo.

Under the hood, both Note 7s and Note 7 are engined by 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 660 chipset, while Note 7 Pro is powered by a superior 2GHz Snapdragon 675 chip. You get more RAM and larger storage variants with the Pro variant. All of these could aid in a snappier performance for the big guy in the long run.

Battery life on all the three could last long thanks to a 4000mAh battery. While the phones support up to 18W Quick Charge 4.0, the company weirdly enough ships only a 10W Quick Charge 2.0 charger.

Redmi Note 7 Pro vs Redmi Note 7s vs Redmi Note 7: Which one should you buy and why?

The three phones are more similar than different. They have the same battery, design, software, connectivity options, and even the same selfie camera. In fact, if you compare the same RAM and Storage variants, the only meaningful difference from a practical standpoint is the rear camera (that progressively gets better as you move up).

If you could shell out more money and want the better of the lot, then, needless to say, Redmi Note 7 Pro should be your pick. However, understanding the budget constraint, Note 7s seems to be the next best choice as it has a 48MP (albeit with a weaker sensor) camera and fairly powerful SD660 SoC. That said, Note 7 is still a value for money when pitted against the competition in its price.
