A post on China’s social networking site Weibo made the world privy to this knowledge. The post read:

“Not Wu Xiubo, not Liu Shi, not Liu Haoran, an absolutely unexpected idol you will be in the February 14 to bring a special Valentine’s Day gift: red rice Note4X #! Do you guess who Ta is it? Forwarding pumping a new Taiwan. In this case,” (sic).

Alongside the post was an image featuring the number 16 with the company’s logo on the top right corner.

Earlier reports have given a considerable amount of information regarding the phone, which will most likely be an upgraded version of the Note 4.

The reported specifications of the Redmi Note 4X include a curved display with minimum bezels, a Mediatek Helio X20 chipset (or a Snapdragon 653 one, depending on the region) and a 5.5-inch full HD display.

Rumors are also abuzz with reports of the Note 4X featuring a front-mounted fingerprint sensor alongside a 4,100mAh battery to keep the phone alive and kicking.

Seemingly, the phone could be out in three variants differing on their RAMs (2GB, 4GB, 6GB) and storage capacities (32GB and 64GB).
