In January 2024, the Chinese smartphone brand Redmi launched the Note 13 series. The lineup consists of three models: the vanilla Note 13, Note 13 Pro, and Note 13 Pro Plus. Given the varied features and price proposition, the smartphone series has done well in India. Now, Xiaomi’s sub-brand seems to have started working on Note 13’s successor, the Redmi Note 14, as information about the latter has started showing up on the internet.

Redmi Note 14 Pro To Feature A 1.5K Screen

Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station seems to have got hands on some details about the Redmi Note 14 Pro. First, let’s talk about the purported handset’s screen. The phone could sport a 1.5K screen with a punch-hole cutout on the front, similar to the current generation model. Further, the screen could have “micro-curved” edges, providing a better in-hand grip.

A 50MP Primary Camera Doesn’t Make Much Sense

The Redmi Note 14 Pro will feature a large 50MP primary sensor, which looks like a significant downgrade from the 200MP primary sensor on the Note 13 Pro. Further, the upcoming phone won’t feature a telephoto sensor, which, in our opinion, would be a better secondary sensor than the 8MP ultra-wide or the 2MP macro sensor on the Note 13 Pro.

Redmi Note 14 Pro: Expected Chipset And Battery Capacity

Snapdragon 7s Gen 2

While this is the extent of the information sourced from the tipster, the Redmi Note 14 Pro is also rumored to feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC. Alongside, there could be a 5,000 mAh battery that powers the smartphone. While the chipset promises to offer a slight improvement over the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 on the Note 13 Pro, it features a 5,100 mAh battery, implying that the Note 14 Pro will come with a smaller cell.

Launched for a higher price in January 2024, the Redmi Note 13 Pro is available at decent discounts. For instance, the baseline variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is currently available for Rs. 21,880 on Amazon, whereas the variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is available for Rs. 23,890. Last but not least, the top-tier Note 13 Pro with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is selling for around Rs. 25,000, offering excellent value.
