Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a new smartphone and a recent report points it to be Redmi K40. The device listing has been spotted on China’s 3C certification site. So, it seems it won’t be too long before the Redmi K30 successor debuts.

Here, have a look at the listing snippet:

Now, the question is whether this upcoming Xiaomi phone is –

Redmi K40 or Mi CC10?

The phone listed for 3C certification has a model number of M2006J10C and shows to come with an MDY-11-EX charger. The Redmi K30 Pro that went official in March also features the same charger supporting 33W fast charging. No more detail is revealed to guess the specs of the upcoming smartphone.

Its been a trend of Redmi, the sub-brand of Xiaomi, to add new devices to its K-series after every six months interval. The listing thus highly suggests the arrival of Redmi K40.

That said, the rumor mills also churn out the listed model to be Mi CC10, a successor to Mi CC9. Due to the lack of information, we are not sure whether it will be Redmi K40 or Mi CC10.

We had earlier reported that Xiaomi Mi CC10 is underway in the workshop with a codename CAS. The phone is allegedly to feature a 108MP camera with 120X digital zoom. If it happens, CC10 will outrank 100X Space Zoom offered by Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. The rumors also state Mi CC10 to endorse the un-announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 775G SoC processor with 5G support.

Anyway, the rumors will be put to rest later this year once the company makes official announcements about the upcoming smartphone.
