Today, out of the blue, Xiaomi unveiled its Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition. This happens to be the first phone running on the brand new Snapdragon 768G chipset. You guess it right. This chip is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 765 (G) in terms of CPU and GPU performance.

Redmi K30 5G Speed Edition
The main differentiator is the Snapdragon 768G processor, which claims a 15% improvement in CPU and GPU performance.
It dons a mint green color and is available in a solo 6GB RAM plus 128GB variant. Rest, the phone is the same as the original.
It flaunts a 120Hz 6.67-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution. To the right lies a dual punch-hole camera cutout. The residents are 20MP primary shooter and a 2MP depth sensor.
On the back, there is a 64MP (Sony IMX686 sensor) led quartet.

There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor to unlock the device. Doing which, you are welcomed by MIUI software based on Android 10. Among other things, you also get a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-C socket, 5G connectivity, dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.0, an IR blaster, NFC, and GPS/ A-GPS.
The phone is harnessed by a 4500mAh battery backed by a 30W fast charger.
Redmi K30 Racing Edition Price and availability
Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition in China at 1,999 Yuan (~Rs. 21,358). Indian availability details are not out yet. However, we look forward to some reveal tomorrow alongside the Poco F2 series launch event.
