Realme X50 Pro Player Edition to Go Official on May 25; Specs revealed on TENAA

Realme is gearing to unveil 8 new products in China on May 25. The company had previously revealed that one of these would be a smartphone and it has now confirmed the name – Realme X50 Pro Player Edition. This upcoming handset is a different version of Realme X50 Pro that launched in February.

The phone was code-named Blade Runner and has now been listed on TENAA with product code RMX2072. The specs are largely the same – in fact, there is a downgrade in camera hardware.

Realme X50 Pro Player Edition Features

Realme X50 Pro Player Edition has got specs similar to Realme X50 Pro, as confirmed from TENAA listing. So, the Player Edition will be home to flagship Snapdragon 865 processor and flaunt 65W fast charge support. However, cameras are downgraded. This is a game-centric phone, but the differentiating game-centric features shall be confirmed post the launch.

The Realme X50 Pro Player Edition features a 6.44-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. The front panel has a dual punch-hole to house a 16MP selfie camera with a 2MP depth sensor. In comparison, the Realme X50 Pro had a 32MP + 8MP combo of the front-facing camera. The rear camera setup has also been downgraded to 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP quad-camera module compared to Realme X50 Pro’s 64MP + 8MP + 12MP + 2MP module. 

The handset has up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage capacity. The phone runs on Realme UI based on Android 10. The device has a dual-cell battery with 2055mAh capacity each in order to make 65W fast charging possible.

For connectivity, Realme X50 Pro Player Edition has enabled dual-mode 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB Type-C. The phone is missing a 3.5 mm headphone jack. 

Realme X50 Pro Player Edition Price and Availability

Realme X50 Pro Player Edition is expected to come in Red, Black, and Silver-White color variants. The rumors claim the price to be around Rs 31,990, but we will know for sure next week on March 25. 

Apart from the new X50 Pro variant, the 8 Realme products to launch on May 25 include TV, smartwatch, TWS earbuds, power bank, and a speaker. Realme has still managed to hide the remaining two products.
