TL; DR

realme has officially upgraded its software update policy to 3 years of major Android OS updates and 4 years of security patches for the Number, Number Pro, and Number T series.
This change applies to existing models like the realme 14 Pro+, 14 Pro, 14T, 15 Pro, and 15, and will extend to all future models including the realme 16 lineup.

realme is finally stepping up its software game for the mid-range segment. In a tweet from Francis Wong, the brand confirmed that all phones in its Number series—past and future—will now get three years of Android OS updates and four years of security patches. That’s a significant improvement from the previous 2+3 policy and brings realme closer to competitors like OnePlus and iQOO.

The new 3+4 update promise is being applied retroactively to current models like the realme 14 Pro+, 14 Pro, 14T, 15 Pro, and 15. Going forward, every Number, Number Pro, and Number T phone (like the expected realme 16 Pro, 16, and 16T) will follow this improved policy.

Wong also confirmed that realme’s new P series is on the way, with the realme P4 series already in development. While exact specs are still under wraps, the brand has teased “too many news and tech surprises,” suggesting big things ahead.

The F-series has usually been about design, selfies, battery life, and a polished everyday phone rather than benchmark numbers. The F33 Pro followed that closely, and it also left a few obvious gaps. No ultra-wide, no OIS, no 4K, a smaller main sensor, and a chipset that felt weak for the money. The F35 Pro …
