Realme GT 5 smartphone goes official in China with 24GB RAM and 240W charging

Realme has launched the next in its GT Series in its home country China. The Realme GT 5 smartphone has gone official as a successor to the Realme GT 3. It is the first phone from Realme and only 3^rd in the world to offer 24GB RAM. Apart from GT 5, only Nubia Red Magic 8S Pro+ and OnePlus Ace 2 Pro offer 24GB RAM.

The Realme GT 5 comes in 2 variants- 150W fast charging and 240W fast charging capabilities. Check out the details below.

Realme GT 5: Features

The Realme GT 5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with Adreno GPU. It runs Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 custom skin out of the box. The smartphone sports a 6.74-inch 1.5K AMOLED PRO-XDR display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 2772×1240 pixel resolution, and a 93.7% screen-to-body ratio. The display comes with 450 ppi, 1400 nits brightness, 2160 PWM dimming, and an X7 independent display chip.

The Realme GT 5 comes with up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage onboard. In terms of camera optics, the Realme GT 5 flaunts a triple lens setup at the back including a 50MP Sony IMX890 camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. At the front is a 16MP selfie camera.

The smartphone comes in 2 models- one with a 4600mAh battery and 240W charging and another with a 5240mAh battery with 150W fast charging. Connectivity options include an in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, Hi-Res audio, Dolby Atmos, and Whirlwind memory engine 2.0 that claims to keep up to 76 apps in the background.

Realme GT 5: Design

The Realme GT 5 features a Flowing Silver Mirror design offering a liquid metal silver texture design and a Snapdragon square logo inside the transparent glass. There is a transparent RGB design with 4 halo strips which is called Halo Pro. It supports ten contact and application notification light effects.

Realme GT 5: Price, Colorways, Availability

The Realme GT 5 comes in the following storage configurations-

12GB RAM+256GB storage- RMB 2999 (Rs. 34,500 approx.)
16GB RAM+512GB storage- RMB 3299 (Rs. 37,400 approx.)
24GB RAM+1TB storage (240W)- RMB 3799 (Rs. 43,600 approx.)

The sale will begin on 4^th September in China and it will be available in Flowing Silver illusion mirror and starry oasis green colors.

While the Realme GT 5 has gone official in China, the brand has not issued any statement on an India debut as of now.
