Realme 6i with 48MP Quad Cameras, 18W Fast Charging and Android 10 Goes Official

Realme 6i becomes the first phone to ship with the latest MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. The processor vaunts to bring gaming grunt to the budget turf. Speaking of which, the 6i happens to be a much more economical entrant from the Realme 6 series. As you know, the Realme 6 (review) and Realme 6 Pro (review) debuted in India just the other month. So, now we have a third phone, which incidentally launched in Myanmar. It will make its way to India soon.

Realme 6i Features

Here you get a similar design treatment to the Realme X Master edition (review). The difference being the new White Milk and Green Tea skins, both inspired by nature. Due to this, the plastic-based chassis maintains a slightly swanky appeal.

The face is a 6.5-inch LCD display with a waterdrop notch and addresses a 20:9 aspect ratio and 89.8% screen-to-body ratio. In that notch, nests a 16MP f/2.0 selfie snapper.

Realme 6i goes official

Flip to the back, you have a quad camera stack and a circle fingerprint reader. The members are a 48MP sensor, followed by an 8MP (119-degree FoV) ultrawide lens, a 2MP (4cm focal length) macro lens, and a 2MP mono lens for portraits.

Unlock the phone and you have Realme UI based on Android 10 running upon Mediatek’s Helio G80 silicon. This is a gaming-centric chip that gains on clock speeds and accommodates HyperEngine Game Technology. On stage, Realme bragged an AnTuTu Benchmark score of 201,278 points.

The Realme 6i comes in 3/4GB RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage. Inside, there is a 5000mAh battery that benefits from an 18W fast charger (USB-C).

Realme 6i Pricing and Availability

Realme 6i is priced at KS. 249,900 (~Rs. 13,000) for the 3GB+64GB model and KS. 299,900 (~Rs. 15,700) for the bigger variant.

Realme 6i is expected to cross the Indian border in April, priced somewhere around Rs. 9,999. This could spice up options in the ultra-affordable segment. What do you think?
