Protruly Darling Is The First Phone That Comes With A 360-Degree Camera

Every once in a while we come across an unconventional, or rather weird, smartphones which feels like a refreshing change of pace. Today’s pick is ProTruly’s Darling – the first phone that can shoot 360 videos using its VR dual camera system.

That VR prowess, however, comes at a price. The 13MP fisheye lens at the front warrants an enormous top bezel, which certainly looks hideous in the white variant.

But there is also a luxury black model that camouflages this anomaly using Italian leather and a gold strip studded with 4 diamonds. And going by the image Mashable shares, this kind of works.

Another similar 13MP snapper is present on the rear as well. Together, the two can shoot 360-degree footage in the ‘VR Mode’ that can then be directly shared on Facebook, Youtube, and other such platforms that accept 360-degree videos.

Other specs aren’t all that great. Both variants of ProTruly Darling include 5.5-inch Full HD display, MediaTek processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB built-in storage, a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, USB Type-C port, Android Marshmallow software and 3360mAh battery.

It goes without saying that Protruly Darling is meant for a niche audience and early adopters. The standard variant will cost $600 (Roughly 40,000 INR) and the diamond-studded phone variant costs $800 (or about Rs. 53,000).
